Shellfish in Bohuslän – a must to taste while you are visiting.
Shellfish here is considered to be among Europe’s best, according to the food connoisseurs.  Crayfish, oysters, lobster, crab, mussels and the delicious prawns.
The shellfish taste good year around and are at its best in the fall, when the water is cold.

The first Monday after September 20 is lobster season! It’s as big on the coast as the moose hunt is inland. Many people take time off work to get in the pots quickly … if you walk down the jetty you can hear the fishermen talking tactics with each other. Lobster season is special to experience first hand. Many restaurants offer a seafood menu and you can join a lobster safari. And then we have the langoustines (crayfish), the juicy, tasty ones! They are legal all year round, unlike lobsters, and safaris can be arranged.
Do you prefer oysters? You can’t pick them from the sea floor because they belong to the land (water) owner, but there are several nice experience tours with oyster tasting you can join.

We can put together your group’s seafood and shellfish  experience – from booking the best boat to the most suitable restaurant. And arrange an exclusive dining experience in the fishing shed/out in the archipelago. Having worked many years in the restaurant industry, we know what it takes for a successful dining experience or dinner. Contact us!
