Bohuslän and Dalsland are excellent provinces for hiking, both located in Westsweden. There are several beautiful, well-marked trails. There are also great walks in the various nature reserves, which are several. The coast province Bohuslän also offer lots of island hikes.
The beauty is the varied nature. There is everything from old-growth forest, mountains with wolf territories and lakes, to fjord valleys, meadows with orchids and summer flowers. Bohuslän also has beautiful granite, heaths, paths along fields and more hilly hiking along the sea.
In Dalsland, you’ll find Tresticklan National Park, hikes up mountain ridges and along tranquil lakes. In Bohuslän you’ll find Sweden’s only marine national park with beautiful and varied hiking trails, incl. plants that are almost only found here.
