Salta Guiden ecotourism policy

The company has a stated goal to be environmentally friendly and climate smart.

  • We want to preserve and share nature and culture in a sustainable way.
  • We offer experiences that authentically reflect the local culture, traditions, history and way of life of the landscape.
  • Our activities have a low environmental footprint.
  • Groups are often small to avoid unnecessary wear and tear on nature.
  • The principle is: “leave only footprints, take only photos and trash home with you”.

The company wants to contribute to economic development so that the local culture and community are promoted and strengthened. We choose partners companies that are open all year round, have local roots and employ local people. Companies that work with sustainability and seasonal local ingredients chosen with care. In this way, we contribute to a living countryside and coast (year-round open businesses  and sustainable local community).

We are knowledge givers with local roots. We want to offer experiences that give visitors an insight into life and culture in a way that is authentic and does not distort history and culture. Our activities take place in collaboration and consultation with the local community and land owners.

Our experiences are adapted so that the visitor can gain understanding and respect for nature and culture.
The visitor should experience joy and afterwards consider the visit to have lived up to their expectations.

When travelling to and from us, we encourage our guests to choose public transport.
No disposable materials are used.
Our experiences are safe and risks have been analysed to minimise accidents.
We can also offer alternatives if unforeseen events stop arrangements.
Every year, we review our operations and customer reviews to improve on this ecotourism policy.

The company cooperates with the regional West Coast Foundation, the regional nature conservation organisation. We are also an official partner with the National Park Tresticklan.

We support various nature or culture protection projects.
